What Is an 8-Hour Virginia Driver Improvement Clinic?
A Virginia Driver Improvement Clinic is an eight-hour traffic-safety education program intended to improve driving knowledge, reinforce defensive-driving principles and encourage safer decisions behind the wheel.
Driver Improvement is different from initial driver education and is also different from the complete 12-Hour Reckless and Aggressive Driver Education Program, commonly called RADEP.

8-Hour Driver Improvement
The standard Virginia Driver Improvement Clinic consists of eight hours of driver-safety education.
Complete 12-Hour RADEP
RADEP is the Reckless and Aggressive Driver Education Program. If you were instructed to complete the full 12-Hour RADEP Program, the 8-Hour Driver Improvement course alone is not sufficient.
